Volunteers in Police Service (VIPS) works to enhance the capacity of state and local law enforcement to utilize volunteers.
There are currently four VIPS units in Utah County serving Orem, Provo, Santaquin/Genola, and Payson. If you are interested in joining or starting a unit in your area, contact your local law enforcement agency. Information on VIPS is available at www.policevolunteers.org

Upcoming training for VIPS: The national VIPS training team has agreed to bring their ttraining back to Salt Lake City! THis is quite a coup since they were just here and their policy is one training per year per state. they are even willing to tailor their trianing to our needs! We will be having this training on on eof the November 7th-10th conference days in conjunction with ECCP/CCC training. If you do not have a VIPS program in yourarea, please be thinking of who you can reach out to in your local Police Department. More information soon!
